Import Videos from Files App

Selected videos are copied to ImportedVideos/YYYY-MM-DD. Originals are kept; importing again creates numbered copies.

ZIP files are automatically extracted into a new folder. Encrypted ZIPs must be extracted before importing.

Import from Photos

Select photos and videos to copy into GPlayer. Live Photos are imported as still images. Your originals remain in Photos.

Files are saved in CameraRoll/YYYY-MM-DD using the import date. Importing again creates another copy; matching names receive a number.

Copy Using Files or Finder

On iPhone or iPad: open Files → Browse → On My iPhone/iPad → GPlayer, then copy your media here.

On Mac: connect your device, select it in Finder → Files → GPlayer, then drag your files into GPlayer. Return to the app after copying finishes.

Photos are imported directly into the private library’s CameraRoll folder. Files opens the public GPlayer folder, not the private library.

Media copied through Files or Finder is automatically moved into the private library after its file state remains stable. Keep GPlayer open to finish importing. If GPlayer is closed, importing resumes the next time you open it.

Could not open the folder. Open Files manually → Browse → On My iPhone/iPad → GPlayer.

Wi-Fi Transfer

Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi. Open the address below in your computer’s browser.

Keep this page open. Transfers stop when you leave or put the app in the background. Only share the address with people you trust.

Compare the codes on both devices, then allow this browser on your phone.

Videos are saved in WiFiUploads by date, using your current library location. Duplicate names are renamed automatically. Completed uploads remain saved if you stop.

Keep GPlayer in the foreground and this page open. ZIPs use temporary phone storage. Check free space on your computer yourself. Sending finished does not confirm the file was saved.

Every ZIP package is encrypted. View its password only on this phone. Use a ZIP tool that supports AES encryption to extract it.

SMB / WebDAV Import

Selected videos are copied to NetworkVideos by date. Remote originals stay unchanged. Keep this page open; leaving or backgrounding cancels unfinished work. Credentials are used for this connection only.

Leaving this page cancels the current import and disconnects. Videos already copied are kept; unfinished files are removed.

Files Not Showing?

Media copied to the GPlayer root folder and newly added top-level folders is discovered automatically when you return to the app. After adding or changing files inside existing folders, run Deep Discovery. Photo imports update automatically. Deep Discovery checks all media folders and may take time in a large library.
