BGM Guide

Give short videos a more fitting soundtrack or a stronger rhythm by replacing or mixing their original audio.

Download a video with music you like from TikTok, Douyin or similar platforms, then open BGM Library and tap + to import it. Its audio is automatically extracted and saved as BGM. You can also import audio files directly.

Open Audio Tracks on the video you want to edit. In the BGM tab, tap Select to choose from the library, or Use beside a recent track.

Preview, adjust the volume, then Save. When saving finishes, tap Share. Short music automatically loops to fit the video.

Edit BGM

In BGM Library, tap a track’s name or duration to open Edit BGM. You can also choose Edit BGM from its menu. When choosing BGM for a video, use the menu to edit.

Drag the waveform handles to trim the audio, or use the Start and End −/+ buttons for 0.1-second adjustments. Tap the waveform to move the preview position. Fade In and Fade Out control how gently the selected audio starts and ends.

The center play button plays the selection once and stops. The blue loop button on the left repeats the preview; tap it again to pause. Loop preview does not extend the saved audio.

Extend Audio

Tap the blue extension button on the right to repeat the current selection. The default count is 3 and includes the original segment: 10 seconds × 3 = 30 seconds. The panel shows the resulting duration and limits it to 10 minutes. Tap Extend to update the waveform and duration, then keep editing. Fades apply only to the beginning and end of the whole extended clip.

After extending, a gray return-arrow button appears beside the extension button. Tap it to stop playback and restore the audio, trim range and fades from before the first extension, even after extending several times.

Change Cover

Tap the cover in Edit BGM to choose a photo and preview it. Tap Save at the top right to keep your changes. Changing only the cover updates the current BGM; editing the audio saves a separate track with the selected cover and keeps the original.

Replace Original Audio

Choose Replace Original Audio to use only the selected BGM in the saved video.

Mix with Original Audio

Choose Mix with Original Audio to keep the original sound alongside the BGM. Adjust both volumes to balance voices and music.
